Taylor has lived in Horley Town Centre for three years and enjoys running, coffee, watching football (supporting Chelsea) and spending time with friends. As a passionate community activist, he's keen to work with residents and the local authorities to get things done.
If elected on Thursday 7 May, Taylor will work with Samantha Marshall and local residents to make Horley a better place to live. Fixing the potholes and pavements is one of his top priorities, running a dogged Pothole Patrol campaign to get Surrey Highways to fix the worst roads and pavements in Horley.
He'll also work with Lisa Townsend, Surrey's Police & Crime Commissioner and local police to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour. And will work with the authorities to introduce more activities for young people in our town.
Alongside this, he'll campaign to get Horley the infrastructure it needs. Our town has grown from 21,000 residents in 2011 to 28,000 residents in 2021 and it feels like we're playing catch up. He'll campaign for more school places, including a second secondary school, and better support for our local shops.
Having served as a Tandridge District Councillor in Caterham, he has the experience to serve residents. He successfully exempted care leavers from paying Council Tax until they turned 25, ensured everyone regardless of physical ability was able to access playgrounds and campaigned to improve housing conditions.
He is Dorking & Horley Conservative Association's Digital Officer and the Deputy Chairman Political of the Horley branch of the Association.
You're very welcome to get in touch with Taylor if he can help you in any way.
