Khobi grew up in the Dorking Hills, where a love of the countryside, community and public service was instilled from an early age. Having recently returned with her husband, she is proud to once again call this special part of Surrey home. She is committed to protecting its character while ensuring it continues to thrive for the next generation.
She has served locally as a school governor, working with teachers and parents to help ensure children get the best possible start in life. Khobi is also a member of her local church’s Parochial Church Council (PCC), supporting the church’s important role at the heart of the community.
Khobi brings a strong background in public service. As a civil servant, she worked on culture and youth policy before moving into national security. Her work involved tackling complex national challenges, giving her a clear understanding of how government operates — and how vital it is that decisions are practical, accountable and focused on real outcomes.
In 2024, Khobi stood for Parliament in Sussex, bringing significant political experience and a serious commitment to representing local people. The campaign deepened her understanding of the issues that matter most to residents and strengthened her belief that villages like ours deserve capable and determined representation.
Over the past five years, Khobi has worked with FTSE 100 companies, advising senior leaders on communication and helping organisations explain complex issues clearly and simply. She believes public life should be straightforward and honest — not weighed down by jargon or empty promises.
Now standing for local election, Khobi offers both national experience and genuine local roots. She believes in the careful use of taxpayers’ money, protecting valued local services, supporting families and businesses, and standing up for the character of the Dorking Hills and surrounding villages.
Khobi is practical, community-focused and ready to work hard to ensure local voices are properly heard.
