Joanna Slater is the leader of the Conservative group at Mole Valley District Council, representing the Leatherhead South ward. She is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Advisor, with 15 years' experience, including three years at HM Treasury as a Senior Policy Advisor. Joanna currently works in Dorking, and is based in Leatherhead with her young family. She is the proud mother of two brilliant boys.

Away from politics, Joanna is also a trustee for the Leatherhead Community Association, St Michael's Community Nursery, and is a keen (if slow) Mole Valley park-runner.
