East Surrey Council Candidate for Leatherhead & Fetcham East 2026
  • Unitary Council Candidates

Alan moved to Leatherhead in 2021. Since he moved, he's become increasingly dismayed at the decline of Leatherhead town centre. The Liberal Democrats have failed to improve the high street which is now a shell of its former self. He feels we must revive the town centre to create the jobs Leatherhead and Fetcham residents need to ensure families can stay in the area.

The Liberal Democrats plan to scar Leatherhead with 12 storey towers on Bull Hill, destroying 160 parking spaces vital for shoppers and commuters in the process. He says, "we need more family homes where people can settle down, not even more flats which lead to people passing through and not playing a part in our community. If you elect me, I will stand up for our town and oppose unsuitable high-rise development in the town centre."
