Dorking & Horley Conservatives have had a Super Saturday today!
We started with a fantastic brunch for all of our members where we got to hear an amazing talk from Khobi Patterson-Vallis, where she shared her experiences as Conservative candidate for Brighton Kemptown & Peacehaven in the recent General Election, and as former Private Secretary to the Home Secretary and in the Department of Culture, Media and Sport. This inspired and engaged our members, and we were treated to excellent hospitality from the Stepping Stones pub in Westhumble.
Following this, a team of us headed across the railway bridge into Westhumble to talk to residents and shared the work our County Councillor for Dorking Rural, Helyn Clack, has been doing in the community. We found lots of support for her from local people.
The boundaries of the County Council divisions are changing at the next election. This means Westhumble and Mickleham will become part of Dorking Rural division instead of Dorking Hills division. So in light of this, local residents in Westhumble were excited to have the opportunity to vote for Helyn Clack to continue her amazing work for the community.
You can contact Helyn by emailing her at [email protected] and if you'd like to be informed and invited to join future social events like our brunch, you can get involved with our vibrant Association here.
